- Telecity states that its financial position remains strong and that its earnings outlook remains in line with expectations
- Weir Group states that Q3 revenues and profits were slightly below targets and sees its full year profit around £425-435m
- Hiscox announces grow written premiums gained 10% to £1,370m benefitting from low catastrophes and additional losses
- Ryanair announces H1 sales of €3.26bn from €3.11bn and a pre-tax profit of €602m from €596m and plans an additional buyback of at least €150m, but trims its full year profit outlook to €500-520m citing continued weak pricing
- E2V Technologies states that it still remains cautious on the broader economic conditions, as it reports H1 adjusted pre-tax profit of £11.4m from £13.1m broadly in line

- The CBI lifts its UK growth forecasts as the recovery seems to be building some momentum, it sees 1.4% growth this year, and 2.4% in 2014, from 1.2% and 2.3%
- Centrica is threatening to pull out of a an offshore wind farm plan on concerns that the government subsidies are not high enough
- RBS is reportedly in talks with the government to cancel its B shares
- Merlin Entertainment is seen closing the books for its IPO ahead of schedule to to strong demand
- Infinis Energy is expected to start conditional dealings in 15th November, and sets its indicative range at 260-310p giving a market cap of £780-930m
