- Diageo Q1 details organic net sales gained 3%, but just under the estimates of 4% seen, and states it remains committed to meet its medium term guidance
- Rank states that it sees its full year profits marginally under the current expectations, and that it is taking revenue improvement and cost reduction actions
- Travis Perkins reports total sales growth of 8.6% and stays on track to meet its EPS targets, buoyed by growth in its trade division although consumer markets were lagging
- Booker Group states that trading has been in line with the market expectations on H1 sales of £2.22bn from £1.91bn
- BSkyB details Q1 revenues of £1.84bn up 7% and an adjusted pre-tax profit of £205m
- SABMiller announces H1 organic lager volumes gained 1%, ahead of the forecasts and states that its financial performance is in line
- Britvic announces Q4 revenues of £366m up 12.8%
- Man Group details AUM of $52.5bn from $52bn and states that it remains cautious in its outlook for asset flows
- Mothercare announces Q2 total group sales fell 0.5% states that the margin environment was more challenging

- While the UK does announce today a deal with Chinese investors and EDF Energy to build the first nuclear plant in the UK for over 15 years
- Permira’s Just Retirement unit is reportedly looking to start its IPO process in the coming days
- WH Smith is expected to have its website down for the full week as it responds to criticisms that its ebook online marketplace for self-published works was allowing adult content to be viewable to minors

- Select Comfort was the major faller after hours, off over 25% as it details a Q4 EPS of 18-26c well under the 31c forecasts
- Ebay fell 4.7% as it announces a Q4 adjusted EPS of 79-81c just missing the estimates of 83c seen, detailing that growth in online shopping rates has slowed
- IBM slipped over 5% as it detailed that sales have now fallen for six consecutive quarters, down 4% to $23.7bn, and against forecasts of around $24.5bn seen, citing slowing sales in China
